The Dobby Patchwork is a midweight Japanese dobby fabric with a few different geometric patterns woven into the fabric in the style of patchwork.
The Aloha Shirt is a short-sleeve shirt with a boxy silhouette, a chest pocket, and a camp collar. Cut and sewn in Canada. Finished with coconut buttons.
I was so impressed with the overall quality of my Naked&Famous cotton sashiko style shirt, I had to get this new arrival in gorgeous Japanese rayon. The most vibrantly coloured, detailed Hawaiian shirts in my collection are rayon and it is, IMO, the best fabric for a true vintage-style Aloha.
Beautiful feel and drape, it's true-to-size and the colour scheme's perfect for sliding into fall, while the 'skeleton' graphics are cool without being cartoonish.
A significant detail that differs from old-school construction is the unmatched print on the breast pocket ~ but this method saves a bit of the exquisite cloth needed to make them, so I totally approve.
They've actually improved on the classic camp collar, with slightly more generous lapels and more discreet stitching. I love these shirts and am looking forward to more!

The craftsmanship's impeccable- not a stitch out of place. And the tailoring's also spot on. I'm a little guy (5'8") and could've sized down, but a blousy look (M) works on these hot, humid days
The fabric's itself heavier than most summer weight shirts, but it's an airy weave that is not only gorgeous but breathes beautifully. Sturdy, but soft to the touch.. I actually slept in it last night
Camp collar's such a nice touch, and so well done. Like I said; from pajamas to the office to the beach, this Aloha's got me covered!
I should probably mention there was a little hiccup with their normally speedy delivery but the team at Mtnhead cheerfully straightened it out in no time
