The Slub Sashiko Denim is a lightweight Japanese denim made with big slub yarns woven in on the surface of the denim to create the appearance of sashiko-style stitches. The irregular thickness and pitch of the slub yarns travelling horizontally add a distinctive hand-made feel to this fabric.

Right down to the draw string waist - Can't do buttons anymore and even snaps are a bit tricky, so the simple sash is a godsend. I need more clothes like this!
But it was the gorgeous Japanese denim that initially caught my eye. Pattern's subtle but very striking simultaneously. A 7 oz denim, it's soft, yet very sturdy. I'll have this one for years , years to come
